Vision and hearing screening tests provide a quick and effective way to identify children who may have ear and eye problems and require further assessment or treatment. There are a number of screening tests that you may be required to undertake in your role as a Vision and Hearing Technician. These tests include:

For US 28526 you need to record, interpret,and explain vision hearing screening results for children.
You must be enrolled with Careerforce as a trainee in the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) Vision Hearing Screening to complete the assessments for these unit standards and gain credit for them. Refer to the vision and hearing screening page of the Careerforce website for more information about enrolling in this qualification.
To complete this unit standard:

Complete the trainee assessment (TA). Please do all the assessment tasks.

The trainee assessments (TAs) contain assessment tasks which must be done by you. There is a separate TA for each unit standard.
You can download the two TAs from the Careerforce library of free resources.
Print out the TAs and do the tasks.
Remember to sign it as evidence that you are the one who has completed all the assessment tasks.
Your workplace assessor will sign off your assessment once you have completed the tasks to the required standard.
